Telling someone else's story can be an ultimate act of love—or robbery. Gertrude Stein's Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas could be read as both. At That Time explores this love story. Using text from Stein's Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas, it reflects the relationship between these two women, both writers, as one sacrifices her career in service of the other.
